Derrick Beasley is enshrined into the C.E. “Big House” Athletic Hall of Fame for football. He is presently a deputy sheriff in Essex County. As an undergraduate Beasley was a two-time All-CIAA selection at cornerback for the Rams. He was named team Defensive Player of the Year in 1987. He was drafted in the fourth round (102nd overall) by the New England Patriots in 1987 and was a member of the team until 1990. He and his wife Tina are the parents of four children Derrick (18), Blair (17), Elon (14), and Devon (8).
