Dobbins is no stranger to Winston-Salem State University as she is a 2000 graduate of WSSU with a degree in Sport Management with a Concentration in Marketing, she joined the WSSU Athletic Department for her first year in the fall of 2004 and as the Assistant Director of Marketing in the newly formed WSSU Sports Marketing Office. Dobbins primary responsibilities are marketing and promoting the athletic teams, game day promotions, enhancing the game experience, game day management and solicitation and activation of corporate sponsorships, areas in which she has five years of experience. Dobbins is also the campus contact for Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Marketing Initiatives.

Dobbins recently earned a Master of Science degree in Sports Studies with a concentration on marketing from High Point University in May 2005.

Her professional experience includes service with the General Motors marketing department and three years of service with Lowe's Corporate Office.

Dobbins is also the co-advisor to the WSSU Pep Squad and Huddle Leader for Fellowship of Christian Athlete's (FCA). She has received numerous awards including `Outstanding Service Award' and `Outstanding Leadership Award' for working with WSSU Student Organizations.
