<>Personal:Marcelene Scales taught in the Physical Education Department at Winston-Salem State University for 23 years. She is honored in the Meritorious Service category. This is reserved for individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of student-athletes, the university and the community. She taught dance and swimming in additional to numerous other courses at the university. She served as a coach and Women's Administrator. She is a retired faculty member. She graduated from Tuskegee University in 1949.
