Elizabeth Knight joined the Winston-Salem State University Athletic Training Staff in the fall of 2015. After previously impressing the staff as an intern two years prior to her hiring, she joined the staff as a full-time assistant athletic trainer.
Knight came to WSSU after earning a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from Lenoir-Rhyne University. During her time at Lenoir-Rhyne, she also served as a student-athletic trainer working with track & field, women’s basketball, swimming, cross country, men’s lacrosse, and women’s soccer. In addition to gaining some valuable hands-on experience, she also co-developed the sickle cell trait policy and procedures for the Lenoir-Rhyne athletic department.
In addition to earning a Master of Science degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University, she also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
