| Women's BasketballWINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (10-13, 5-8 CIAA) faded late when the team took a hard-fought 73-54 loss to the Shaw Lady Bears (20-5, 12-1 CIAA), Wednesday evening on the annual Play 4 Kay Breast Cancer Awareness Game. The Rams played well for much of the game, but a late drought that included an eight-point fourth quarter cost the Rams the game.[read more]

February 6, 2016Big Second Half Lifts Rams to 67-42 Win at Saint Augustine'sRALEIGH, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (10-12, 5-7 CIAA) kicked things into gear when the team took a dominating 67-42 win road win over the Saint Augustine’s Falcons (3-19, 0-12 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. The Rams took the win behind a strong overall team effort as all 12 Rams took the court to wear down the Falcons for their second straight victory.
February 6, 2016Rams Win 2016 SPIRE Team ChallengeGENEVA, OH – The Winston-Salem State University Rams women’s track & field team had one of its most impressive performances of the season when the team took first place in the 2016 SPIRE Team Challenge, hosted by the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. As a team, the Rams totaled 151 points to claim first place in the meet. West Virginia Wesleyan was the only other school to reach 100 points in the meet as they totaled 102 points to place second at the meet.
February 6, 2016Rams Take 7-3 Loss to ConcordPEMBROKE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (0-2) had seven hits, but the team could not get the runners across the plate as the team took a 7-3 loss to the Concord Mountain Lions (2-0) at the Campbell Oil/Minuteman Invitational hosted by UNC-Pembroke. The Rams managed just three runs on seven hits while allowing seven Mountain Lion runs on nine hits in the game.
