WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Powerhouse of Red & White Competition team placed fourth in the All-Girls Division of the 2010 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Cheerleading Championships, Monday evening. Junior Regan Hales had another strong performance at the competition, earning second-place honors in the All-Star competition for the second year in a row.
The WSSU team placed fourth behind repeat All-Girls Division champion Morgan State, Maryland-Eastern Shore, and Hampton.
With the 2010 MEAC Cheerleading Championships behind them, the Powerhouse of Red & White will begin preparations for the upcoming season with cheerleading tryouts held on March 26th, 27th, and 28th at the C.E.
