COACH RITSCHE ON HICKERNELL: Tyler’s injury in the first month of the season was a bit of a blow to our right-handed power hitting. Hick did recover though and was able to give us some quality innings on the mound. None of those innings were bigger than his 8 inning, one hit performance against St. Augustine’s in the opening round of the 2012 CIAA conference tournament. With his hand healthy again this year, Tyler could provide some extra fire power offensively, and continue to be an important component to our pitching staff.”
