High School: Played his prep baseball at East Forsyth High School in Kernersville, NC.  Eric was an honor roll student while lettering three years in baseball. Eric pitched 27 innings his senior season striking out 31 batters while yielding 12 walks. Had a 2.25 ERA in conference play.  Eric also lettered in swimming four years while leading his team to three conference championships and being named all-county his junior and senior years.  Eric currently holds two East Forsyth swimming records. Played American Legion baseball for coach Chad Loflin of Kernersville Post 36. Selected as an Area 3 all-star while leading the team in appearances (17) and pitching 53.2 innings finishing with a 4-0 record, 1.51 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, 38 strikeouts and 12 walks.  Eric helped lead the team to a second place finish in the 2013 North Carolina state tournament.

Personal:  Eric was born in Chatham, NJ but grew up in Kernersville, NC. He is the Son of Kevin and Eileen Corlett. He has two younger brothers, Robbie and T.J. who also play baseball.

Favorite thing about WSSU baseball: Being surrounded by a very fun and dedicated group of players.
