COACH RITSCHE ON MCLEMORE:  “Devin joined the Ram family as a freshman with high expectations in 2011 and lived up to those expectations in 2012.  Devin’s raw ability to compete on the baseball diamond allowed him to step in and start 51 out of the Rams 56 games in 2012.   He was a mainstay at third base from the early beginning of the year as he proved he could make some of the most difficult plays look routine.  He’s the type of recruit that you look for…..good grades, good parents, talent and a competitor.  He made drastic mechanical improvements as a pitcher that led to a huge jump in pitching velocity his freshman year.  However, an elbow injury forced him not to pitch in 2012.  Devin will take a medical redshirt in 2013 to recover from “Tommy John” surgery and return in the mound in 2014 with high expectations.”
