    WILSON, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (4-5) could not get the late runs they needed with the team took a 10-5 loss to the Barton Bulldogs (6-8), Tuesday afternoon. After allowing an early lead to the Bulldogs, the Rams broke out in the fifth inning, but the team could not keep the Bulldogs at bay and allowed a late rally to take the loss.

    WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (4-4) staged a late rally to claim their third straight victory when the team took a 4-3 win over the Post Eagles (0-3), Monday afternoon. After falling behind by as many as three runs, the Rams scored four unanswered runs to claim the win.

    WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (2-4) rallied late to claim a 3-2 extra-inning run over the Post Eagles (0-1), Sunday afternoon. With the game tied at the end of seven innings, WSSU got a walk-off triple from junior designated hitter Rashad Stewart hit a walk-off triple to secure the Rams’ second win of the season.

The Rams took a 5-2 lead into the seventh inning, but the team allowed five runs to the Mountain Lions to take the hard-fought loss.

The Rams took the loss in spite of a solid hitting performance with nine hits in the game. However, the team left 10 runners on base to take the hard-fought loss.

    WINSTON-SALEM, NC – For the second straight weekend, there has been an adjustment to the Winston-Salem State University Rams baseball schedule due to the threat of inclement weather. The Rams will face the Concord Mountain Lions in a Friday doubleheader and Sunday’s single game has been postponed.

    WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (1-0) opened the 2018 season in dramatic fashion when the team scored four ninth-inning runs to take a 5-4 win over the Millersville Marauders (0-1), Friday afternoon. After taking a 4-1 deficit into the ninth inning, the Rams rattled off four runs to claim the season opening victory.

    FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – The expectations will be high for the Winston-Salem State Rams who will open the 2018 season tomorrow. The Rams were ranked second among small schools in the 2018 Black College Nines Preseason polls. In addition to the team honor, the Rams also earned a pair of individual honors as senior outfielder Brandon Ford and junior outfielder Randy Norris were both named to the 2018 Black College Nines HBCU Pre-Season All-Elite Team.
  • Threat of Inclement Weather Forces Changes to Rams Baseball Opening Weekend

    WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The threat of inclement weather will for this upcoming weekend has caused some adjustments to the season-opening weekend for the Rams baseball team. Originally, the Rams and the Millersville Marauders were to meet in a single game, Sunday afternoon. Instead, the two teams will meet in a Saturday doubleheader with Sunday’s game being cancelled.
