Winston-Salem State Sprints Past Northern Michigan, 78-69

MILWAUKEE, WI -- The #23 Winston-Salem State University Rams placed four players in double figure scoring, led by Marcus Wells' 17 points, five assists, four steals and three rebounds, as the Rams ran past Northern Michigan, 78-69 in the semi finals of the Fresh Coast Classic.

The Rams broke open a tied game at half, in the second half and the Rams bench outscored Northern Michigan's 28-14.

Wells' 17 paced the Rams, followed by Justin Glover's 16 points, three rebounds, two steals and one assists. Tyre Desmore added 12 points and three boards, as well as Wakefield Ellison, who chipped in 12 points and three rebounds.  Joseph Thompson added eight points, and Kimani Hunt added five points and six rebounds. WhyKevin Bazemore chipped in four points and a game high seven rebounds.

Northern Michigan was paced by Matthew Craggs 15 points, and Stephen Pelkofor's 15 points.
