WSSU wasted no time as they opened up an early lead over the Tigers and pulled out in front by 18 points at the halftime intermission as they led Edward Waters 42-24 at the break.
The second half saw WSSU head coach Philip Stitt go to his reserves early and often as the Rams held on for the 12-point victory, winning the contest 79-67.
True freshman Jamal Durham, and junior guard Curtis Hines led the Rams with 12 points each in the contest.
Edward Waters was led by Darnell Hobson who tallied a game-high 21 points in the loss.
With the win the Rams improve to 13-7 overall and remain at 6-4 in the CIAA (2-2 CIAA West).
