RALEIGH, NC - The Falcons of Saint Augustine's College defeated the Rams of Winston-Salem State University by the score of 90-68 on Tuesday evening in Raleigh, NC as the Rams dropped a CIAA Western Division league contest to fall to 13-9 overall on the season.
The loss, the Rams second consecutive overall and third straight in the CIAA Western Division drops WSSU to 1-5 in the CIAA Western Division and forces the Rams to have to run the table in the Western Division if they hope to repeat as regular-season division champions following 2004-05's first-place finish.
The Rams fell behind in the early-going and never fully recovered as WSSU trailed the run-and-gun Falcons by double digits at the halftime intermission by the score of 42-27.
Despite the Rams' best efforts in the second half, the Falcons continued to build their lead to a game-high 35 points at 86-51 with only 7:00 to play in the contest en route to a 22-point win.

The win propels
WSSU was led by Alleggrie Guinn with 19 points as the All-CIAA First-Team guard turned in a six-of-17 shooting performance en route to team-high scoring honors.
The Falcons were led by Antonio Fitzgerald (24), Claude Neeley (21) and Nicholas King (20) who each recorded 20-point-plus performances in the win.
