TAMPA, Fla. - The Winston-Salem State University Rams dropped their second consecutive contest as they fell in defeat to the University of South Florida Bulls at the Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida on Saturday evening.

  • Corey Morris made the first start of his career on Saturday evening.  Morris has now appeared in six games for the Rams.

  • The Bulls improve to 2-0 all-time versus the Rams as USF won last year's meeting between the two teams and added Saturday's win.

  • The Rams fall to 0-4 all-time versus BIG EAST opponents.  WSSU has dropped a pair of decisions to USF and has dropped games versus Georgetown and Notre Dame.

  • The Bulls' win earns USF their second consecutive win as the Bulls have won nine of their last 11 contests.  The loss marks the second consecutive loss for the Rams after having their three-game win streak snapped by Kansas State on Dec. 22.

  • Darrell Wonge, a player that went scoreless for the first time in his career in the Rams' loss at Kansas State on Dec. 22, rebounded well as he recorded his second double-digit scoring output of the season.

  • The contest marks the third time this season that the Rams have trailed by 30 points or more.  WSSU has trailed USF, Duquesne and Kansas State by at least 30 points.

  • The Rams fall to 0-5 on the road in 2007-08.  The closest WSSU has come to earning a road win was a 68-58 victory over Lipscomb in a neutral-site contest played in Ames, Iowa at the American Family Insurance Cyclone Classic on November 10.

  • The Rams again surrendered a double-double to an opponent as WSSU has given up a double-double to an opposing team member for the ninth time.  WSSU has posted a 3-6 record when doing so.

  • WSSU's three drawn charges gives the Rams 17 charges taken through 11 games of the 2007-08 season, an average of 1.55 charges taken per contest.
