Winston-Salem, NC - Two Winston-Salem State University Rams have earned weekly athletic honors for their play over the past seven days. WSSU's Audly Wehner (Fr./F/6'5"/Fayetteville, NC) has been named the CIAA's Rookie of the Week and Alleggrie Guinn (So./G/6'3"/Charlotte, NC) has been named WSSU-Crown Trophy Student-Athlete of the Week as they both helped to lead the Rams to a 1-1 record over the past week.

Wehner, a freshman forward from Fayetteville, NC has once again been named the CIAA's Rookie of the Week. The honor marks the sixth time in the 2003-04 season that Wehner has garnered Rookie of the Week honors, and marks the fourth consecutive week that he has captured the honor. Wehner continues to make his case for CIAA Rookie of the Year honors as he averaged 21 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the Rams last week. In WSSU's nationally televised (MBC) 75-68 win over Western Division leader North Carolina Central, Wehner led the Rams with 26 points, 5 rebounds and three steals.

Guinn was instrumental in the Rams' victory over the Eagles as well as he scored in double figures and continues to impress as he is one of the Rams' most potent offensive threats despite being only a sophomore.

For their efforts, both Wehner and Guinn have garnered weekly athletic honors.
