Hampton, VA - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announced its selections for the 2004 CIAA All-Rookie Teams on Wednesday, February 18th, 2004 and the CIAA Sports Information Directors Association has selected Audly Wehner (Fr./F/6'5"/Fayetteville, NC) of Winston-Salem State University as the Men's Basketball Rookie of the Year.

Wehner, a 6-5 freshman forward from Fayetteville, North Carolina, leads the Rams in scoring with 16 points per game and in rebounding with 5.5 rebounds per game. He has been named CIAA Rookie of Week six times.

The All-Rookie Teams and Rookies of the Year will be formally honored with the All-Conference Teams at the Women's and Men's Tip-Off Banquets that will kick off the start of the 2004 CIAA Basketball Championship Tournament. Both banquets will be held at the Embassy Suites-RDU in Cary, NC on Sunday, February 22nd and Tuesday, February 24th at 6:30pm, respectively.
