Winston-Salem, NC - Freshman men's basketball player Audly Wehner (Forward/Fayetteville, NC) was named the Winston-Salem State University Men's Basketball MVP on Wednesday April 28th, 2004 at the 2004 WSSU Athletic Awards Banquet that was held at the McNeil Ballroom of the Anderson Center.

Wehner, the 2004 CIAA Men's Basketball Rookie Of The Year and All-CIAA selection helped lead the Rams to a 16-12 record this past season as he proved to be a dominant force in the CIAA en route to winning Rookie of the Week honors a CIAA-record, six times.

For his efforts, he was named the WSSU Men's Basketball MVP and was recognized at WSSU's Annual Athletic Awards Banquet.
