Winston-Salem, NC - Winston-Salem State University senior guard Corey Parker (Jacksonville, NC) has been named the Crown Trophy WSSU Student Athlete of the Week for his recent performances over the past week as he helped the men's basketball team to a pair of wins over Tusculum College over the past seven days.

Parker, a senior who transferred to WSSU from Campbell University two years ago, has come on strong as of late and is currently the Rams leading scorer as he is averaging 18.3 points per game.  

In the Rams two wins last week, Parker led WSSU in scoring during both contests as he averaged 21,5 points per game.  His scoring helped to propel WSSU to their first two wins of the season.

For his efforts, he has been named the Crown Trophy, WSSU Student Athlete of the Week.
