Winston-Salem, NC - Winston-Salem State University men's basketball player Jamal Durham has been named the Crown Trophy WSSU Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 4, 2005 for his stellar performance in the Rams' three games last week.

Durham, a 6'6", 215-pound freshman forward from Welcome, NC turned in an impressive week as he averaged 14.2 points and 6.1 rebounds over a three-game stretch. 

The most impressive performance of the week came on Saturday afternoon in the Rams' loss to Wingate University as Durham recorded a career high in both points and rebounds as he tallied 27 points and 11 rebounds in the contest. 

For his efforts, Durham has been named the Crown Trophy WSSU Student-Athlete of the Week.
