WSSU Junior Forward Paul Davis Named To All-Independent Second-Team

LONGWOOD, Va. - Winston-Salem State University junior forward Paul Davis has been named to the All-Independent Men's Basketball Second-Team as announced on Tuesday evening. Davis led the Rams with 10.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game and was chosen as one of the 10 best Independent Conference players in the nation in voting by both the Independent head coaches and sports information directors. This year's Independent schools include CSU Bakersfield, Longwood, North Carolina Central, Savannah State, Seattle, SIU Edwardsville, and Winston-Salem State. Story.

ORANGEBURG, S.C. - The Winston-Salem State University Rams have gone through it all over the course of a 29-game season and on Monday evening at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Gymnasium WSSU saw a last-second victory as Andrew Jackson's three-pointer as time expired lifted the Rams to a 61-59 win over South Carolina State. Men's Basketball Closes Out 2009-10 Season At South Carolina State Thursday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team will close out the 2009-10 season as they return to action on the road on Thursday evening as they face the Bulldogs of South Carolina State University. The game will mark the 10th meeting between the two teams all-time. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m from Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Gymnasium. Story.
