November 9, 2017 Bright Earns First Team All-CIAA Honors CHARLOTTE, NC – The honors are coming in for the Winston-Salem State Rams as four players were named to the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) All-Conference Team. Winston-Salem State junior defensive lineman Jarrell Bright earned first team All-CIAA honors while three more Rams earned second team honors.
November 4, 2017 Rams Stunned in Dramatic 23-22 Loss to Fayetteville State WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (6-4, 4-3 CIAA) left it all on the field, but the effort was not quite enough when the team took a heartbreaking 23-22 Senior Day loss to the Fayetteville State Broncos (6-4, 5-2 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. After allowing Bronco touchdown with 30 seconds left to play, the Rams missed a 36-yard field goal in the final seconds to take the critical loss.
October 28, 2017 Rams Take a Dramatic 27-21 Overtime Homecoming Victory Over Shaw Bears WINSTON-SALEM, NC – You can always expect a thrilling game when the Winston-Salem State Rams (6-3, 4-2 CIAA) and the Shaw Bears (3-6, 2-4 CIAA) hit the gridiron and Saturday’s game was no different as the Rams took a 27-21 overtime win over the Bears. After playing to a 21-21 tie at the end of regulation, WSSU sophomore running back Jahiz Linebarger broke out for a 20-yard touchdown run in overtime to give the Rams a homecoming victory. 
October 25, 2017 Legendary Rams Football Coach William "Bill" Hayes Selected for Black College Football Hall of Fame ATLANTA, GA – Former Winston-Salem State head football coach and director of athletics William “Bill” Hayes will be honored for a prestigious career as he was selected for induction into the Black College Football Hall of Fame, Wednesday. He was selected from a list of 25 finalists by the BCFHOF Selection Committee.
October 21, 2017 Big Plays Lift Rams in 42-14 Win at Livingstone SALISBURY, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (5-3, 3-2 CIAA) broke out for one of the biggest wins of the season when the team took a 42-14 win over the Livingstone College Blue Bears (0-8, 0-5 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. The Rams took the win behind on of their best offensive performances of the season with their second highest scoring effort of the season.
October 14, 2017 Rams Fall Victim to Late Comeback in 17-14 Loss at Saint Augustine's RALEIGH, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (4-3, 2-2 CIAA) gave a valiant effort, but the team just ran out of time in a tough 17-14 loss to the Saint Augustine’s Falcons (3-4, 4-1 CIAA), Saturday afternoon in the Tackle Breast Cancer Day Game. Though saddled by some key injuries, the Rams took an early fourth quarter lead, but the team could not hold off a late comeback by the Falcons in the tough loss.

Cheerleading Camp

WSSU Head Cheerleading Coach, Eboni Graham, welcomes all aspiring cheerleaders 4-17 years of age to the campus of Winston-Salem State University for the WSSU Cheer Explosion Camp June 20-24 at the Donald J. Reaves Center. The five-day camp will take place from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., featuring members of the Powerhouse of Red and White and 2nd year WSSU alum, Coach Graham.

WSSU 7-ON-7 Football Camp

WSSU Head Football Coach, Kienus Boulware, welcomes all High School Football teams to Winston-Salem State University for the WSSU 7-on-7 Football Camp on June 21st. All camps are non-contact. Registration will begin at 9:00 AM in the Field House. Teams will be guaranteed 4 games, lunch, a camp t-shirt. Space is limited due to fields, please register and reserve your teams space now. Once registered, please email team rosters to Coach Natrone Means (Meansnj@wssu.edu).

WSSU Prospect Football Camp

WSSU Head Football Coach, Kienus Boulware, welcomes all prospects in grades 9-12 (as of Fall 2017) to Winston-Salem State University for the WSSU Prospect Camp on July 12th . High School graduates may not participate. All camps are non-contact. Campers will benefit from both individual and team instruction. Fundamental skills will be taught and there will also be some individual and team competition.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CAMP

The WSSU Women's Basketball Program will hold a Team Camp, June 17th, and the cost is $200. The team camp is open to players on JV, Varisity and AAU teams.They will also hold an Elite Camp on June 18, for just $65. The Elite Camp is open to 8th through 12th graders.

Men's Basketball Camp

The WSSU Men's Basketball Program will hold an Individual Camp, June 19th through June 21st. Second grade through fifth grade will attend from 9am to 12pm (Morning session). Sixth grade through eighth grade will attend from 1pm to 4pm (Afternoon session).

The cost of the camp is Early Bird Price $85.00.  Before June 1st, 2017 and after June 1st, 2017 Price will be $100.00.

Men's Basketball ELITE Camp

The WSSU Men's Basketball Program will hold an ELITE Camp on August 1st on the campus of WSSU. A free t-shirt and lunch will be provided, along with a tour of campus, individual skill instruction for post palyers and guards, as well as other  on court demonstration. The cost of the ELITE camp is $50.00, and the date is scheduled for August 1st 2017.
