Defensive Coordinator Gregory Richardson: A native of Charlotte, NC, Gregory Richardson has just finished his second season as the Rams' Defensive Coordinator. Prior to his addition to the Ram Football staff, Richardson spent three seasons as the Head Football Coach at Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. Prior to his three seasons at Livingstone, he served as the Defensive Coordinator at Virginia Union University from 1997-99 and Livingstone (1994-96). While at Virginia Union, Richardson guided a Panther defense that finished the 1998 season atop the CIAA and among the top ten in Division II in scoring defense and total defense. In addition, his 1995 Blue Bear defense ranked third in the nation in rushing defense while his 1996 squad led the nation against the run. Richardson has also served in a coaching capacity at the University at Buffalo (N.Y.), Norfolk State, Johnson C. Smith, and his Alma Mater, North Carolina Central University. Richardson graduated from North Carolina Central University in 1974.
