Personal: 2004 will see Rives return for his junior season with the Rams...He has been an active member of the Rams roster for the last two seasons (2002-03) after redshirting in 2001...A native of Pittsboro, NC he is a 2001 graduate of Pittsboro High School where he was a three-sport star playing football and basketball as well as running track...He is the son of Harold and Elaine Rives...A Rehabilitation Studies major at WSSU...Born in Pittsboro, NC on June 14th, 1983.
2003: Appeared in seven games for the Rams, starting four...Was 14th on the team in tackles with 17 total (9 solo, 8 assisted)...Had four tackles for a loss of six yards...Defended one pass and hurried the quarterback once as well... Recorded four tackles in a game three times (vs. West Virginia Tech., Virginia Union, and Livingstone)...Recorded two tackles for a loss of three yards at Virginia Union on September 27th, 2003.
2002: Appeared in all ten games for the Rams, starting nine...Was sixth on the team in tackles with 28 (21 solo, 7 assisted)...Recorded three tackles for a loss of seven yards, among them a sack for a loss of two yards...Recorded three pass break ups as well...Turned in his best game of the season versus Johnson C. Smith on November 2nd, 2003 where he had two pass deflections, his lone sack of the season and five tackles (3 solo, 2 assisted).
