Assistant Coach Lamont Turner: Coach Turner is entering into his third year as a member of the Ram football coaching staff. His primary responsibility is dealing with the offensive line. Off the field he is responsible for coordinating study halls and classes and has a close relationship with WSSU Academic Services Director Leslie Bolden as they strie to ensure that the Rams are achieving not only on the field, but in the classroom. Turner is a native of Richmond, VA and a 1999 graduate of Hampton University. While attending Hampton, Turner was a four year starter, and a member of two SBN National Championship Teams. Turner teaches toughness, respect, and responsibility. He strives to make WSSU's athletes not just better football players, but role models, and leaders of the future. Turner teaches two classes each semester in the Department of Health and Human Performance as well.
