The Rams, not content to rest on their seven-point lead, immediately went back to work on their next offensive possession, and they immediately went back to Martin Hicks.
Following a VUU turnover, Hicks capped a two-play, 18-yard drive with his second touchdown of the game as he scampered into the Panther endzone from five yards out.
Hicks would not finish there as he would take advantage of yet another Panther turnover less than one minute later as he broke free for a 42-yard touchdown run only 45 seconds later to put WSSU up 20-0 (Matt Hind's PAT would be blocked).
The Rams headed into the halftime intermission leading 20-0 and would never look back as a Brad Herring 26-yard touchdown reception, and a Matt Hind 20-yard field goal, both early in the fourth quarter, would give the Rams the 31-0 win.
With the win, the Rams improve to 2-3 overall on the season and move to 2-0 in the CIAA. The Rams improve to 18-20-1 versus the Panthers all-time with the win, and Kermit Blount improves his overall record versus his former offensive coordinator Arrington Jones III (now the head coach at VUU) to 2-0.
