Coach, you finally got one against

I think that we came through when we had to tonight. We still have to make some corrections heading into next week, but overall, our guys came out and they played hard, and played for four quarters, and that is what is important. We still made some mistakes on defense tonight, but we came out and played hard, and we were fortunate enough to get the win tonight, and that is what truly matters.
Getting Jed (Bines) back tonight, that really seemed to give you guys a lift, and that was a big reason for the win, don't you think?
Getting Jed back was a big spark for this team. He brought an energy to us tonight, and the guys really responded. Both he and Martin Hicks really came out and played hard tonight, and enabled us to do what we had in our game plan, and that is run the football and control the clock. Jed came out tonight and ran the football very hard, and I think, sent a message.
Lining up for that field goal, you never know what is going to happen, and you have a good kicker in Matt Hind, so were you pretty confident that he was going to make it?
Oh yeah, I mean, that is a kick that is an everyday kick for Matt Hind. You know, as much as we give those guys in practice, and as hard as they work, that is a kick that we knew he was going to make, because he hits that everyday.
Placekicker Matt Hind
You kicked the game winner earlier in the year against Elizabeth City State, but what is going through your mind as you step up to try to hit that kick?
Well, today as you know, I had a bit of trouble in the first half when I hit the upright with that kick on the extra point, but I just knew that with us down by one because of that miss, I just couldn't live with myself if I didn't make that final kick.
You guys have played them the last couple of years, and it has always been something that happened late in the game that proved to be the difference for them in the game, what does it feel like to get the win tonight?
It feels so good, I mean this is the first time that we have earned the win over them since I have been a Ram, and really, I can't describe how good it feels inside to get this win tonight. I really can't put it into words.
How much do you guys, at 3-0 in the conference now, keep building confidence? I mean is that Ram swagger coming back?
Yeah, I think so. We just keep building it, and now that we have got that confidence back, we aren't going to lose it. I mean we aren't going to lose anything, we are just going to keep building on each game. Everybody is working together, and doing their parts, and that is all that it takes, that teamwork, and we can continue to get better and keep winning.
Running Back Jed Bines
How motivated are you after sitting out last weekend? Did you want to make an impact badly?
I was real motivated tonight, and I really tried to do whatever I could tonight because I felt that I let my team down last weekend. I really felt that I had to make up for last week tonight.
Every year it seems that it is something that happens late in the game that earns them a win, but tonight, you guys made a statement with your running game. What does it mean to get the win for you?
It feels so good. I mean, since I have been here, we haven't beaten them, and it feels great to just get the win over them. We knew that this was the last time we will play them, and to end it, the last meeting, with a win over them, that was important to us, and it feels great.
