Winston-Salem, NC - Winston-Salem State University kick returner Brandon Hussey (Jr./Pine Tops, NC) was named to the 2004 Don Hansen's Football Gazette NCAA Division II Preseason All-America Team on Thursday afternoon.
Hussey, who led the Rams, the CIAA, and the nation in punt return average, turning in almost 24 yards per punt return last season, was a unanimous selection to the team.
Last season, Hussey appeared in ten games for the Rams, starting all 10 and in addition to leading the team in kick return yardage, he was second on the roster in receiving with 22 catches for 314 yards (14.3 ypc). He also registered three touchdown catches which tied him for the team lead.
Hussey garnered 2003 All-CIAA First-Team honors as well as being picked as the 2004 Preseason All-CIAA kick returner and punt returner. He was named the NCAA statistical champion for punt return yardage and was named to the 2003 Don Hansen's Football Gazette Division II All-America team.

The 2004 season marks the 17th year Don Hansen's Football Gazette, a recognized authority on small college football, has selected NCAA Division II All-America and preseason All-America teams.
