Winston-Salem, NC - WSSU junior defensive back Nathaniel Biggs (Durham, NC/Riverside H.S.) has been selected as the WSSU Crown Trophy Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 29, 2006 for his impressive athletic performances over the past seven days as announced by the Winston-Salem State University Department of Athletics.
Biggs, a 6'0", 190-pound junior defensive back from Durham, NC led the Rams with 14 tackles as WSSU fell in defeat to 17th-ranked Hampton University on the road in Hampton, Virginia. Biggs collected five solo tackles and nine assists as he turned in the most impressive performance of his career. For his efforts, he has been named the Crown Trophy WSSU Male Student-Athlete of the Week.
