Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Rams golf team finished in second place on Sunday afternoon at the impromptu CIAA Tri-Team Golf Challenge by posting a 390 total, ahead of Elizabeth City State who posted a 481 and behind Johnson C. Smith who registered a 337.
The Rams were led by Brett Lindquist and Ernest Timmons who both registered rounds of 92 on the day. WSSU's W. Monk turned in a 99 and Tyrell McClelland was the high scorer as he chipped in with a 107.
All three teams will return to action on Monday as they start the two-day CIAA Western Division Golf Challenge at Winston-Lake Gold Club in Winston-Salem, NC.
