ORANGEBURG, SC - The Winston-Salem State University men's golf team closed out competition from the 2007 South Carolina State University Bulldog Golf Classic with a final-round 362 as the Rams recorded a two-day aggregate team total of 736 to earn an eighth place finish overall.
The Rams, who sat in eighth place after first-round action were paced by Joshua Vogler who turned in two rounds in the 70's as he followed up his first-round 77 with a final-round 75 en route to an eighth-place overall finish. The top-10 medalist finish is Vogler's fifth top-10 finish of the season.
Vogler was joined by Jerell Fields who fired a first-round 87 and a final round 86 en route to an individual aggregate total of 173 as he finished tied for 31st overall.
