Rams Remain In 12th Place After Day Two Of Minority Golf Championships

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL - The Winston-Salem State University Rams men's golf team remains in 12th place at the conclusion of second-round action from the National Minority Collegiate Golf Championships held at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

 

The Rams turned in a total team score of 351 on the afternoon as they held firmly to their 12th place ranking after the second day of men's Division I golf action.

 

WSSU's Joshua Vogler bettered his first-round 76 as he posted a three-over-par 75 to lead all WSSU golfers.

 

Vogler was joined by teammates Steven Mason (80), Jerell Fields (90), Corey Toole (106) and Berhane Yohannes (111) en route to posting a team score of 351.


 

 

 

Texas Pan American continues to lead after a second-round 295.   The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's Florida A&M University Rattlers (287) and Bethune-Cookman College Wildcats (293) are poised to make a final-round push as they sit in second and third place respectively.

 

The Rams and the field will return to action on Sunday afternoon as they close out the championships starting at 12:00 pm.
