Statesville, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Rams golf team finished the first day of individual competition at the Billy Joe Patton Tournament hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne College at the Statesville Country Club in Statesville, NC in fourth place as several WSSU golfers fired impressive first-round scores.
Leading the way for the Rams was 2003 WSSU Golf Most Valuable Player Brett Lindquist who shot an opening-round 82 to lead Winston-Salem State University's charge.
Lindquist was not the only Ram to heat up the course as Terrell McLelland shot a 122 and Ernest Timmons closed the gap, shooting a 100.
The Rams return to action at the Statesville Country Club on Tuesday, September 14th, 2004 at 12:00 pm to as they will conclude the tournament with round two play.
