Men's Golf Sits In Ninth Place After First Day Of Coca-Cola Tournament

Sept. 29, 2006

ATLANTA, GA - Josh Vogler fired a team-best 74 on Thursday afternoon at Browns Mill Golf Club as the Rams finished day one of competition sitting in ninth place at the 2006 Coca-Cola Black College Hall of Fame Golf Tournament in Atlanta, GA.

 

Vogler, WSSU's most valuable golfer in 2005 started off the 2006 season with a round of 74.  He was joined by Kenneth Bethea who turned in a round of 77.

 

Rounding out the Rams' scoring was Jerell Fields who recorded an 86 and Steven Mason who recorded an 81.

 


 

 

The Rams' four-man total of 319 puts them in ninth place heading into Friday's second-round action.  Bethune-Cookman College leads the tournament with a first-day total of 278.
