SAVANNAH, Ga. – Devin Cherry fired a team-low 77 and Jerrell Fields carded a round of 78 as they duo helped the Rams of Winston-Salem State University post a team total of 324 en route to a third place finish after 18 holes of play at the Savannah State University Tiger Fall Invitational on Monday afternoon.
Cherry, fresh off of his first-ever individual medalist honors last weekend continued to impress on Monday as he turned in a six-over par round of 77 earning him a sixth-place finish after 18 holes of play at Henderson Golf Club, a par-71, 6,650-yard course.
Kevin Veach would card a solid round of 83 and Kenneth Lathan recorded a round of 86 as they completed the four scoring rounds of the day for the Rams.

Michael Asbury carded a 99 and Steven Mason turned in an 81 in non-scoring play as the Rams closed out the first 18 holes of play in impressive fashion.
Bethune-Cookman leads the tournament after 18 holes of play as the Wildcats turned in a team total of 311, 13 strokes better than the Rams, who will look to close the gap on Tuesday.
WSSU and the other 14 teams return to action on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m, as they complete the final 18 holes of play.
