Rainy Weather Forces Postponement Of South Atlantic Golf Challenge

Hurrican Jeanne Continues To Dump Rain On The Southeast; Forces Tournament Postponement

Sept. 27, 2004

Greenwood, SC - South Atlantic Conference officials announced on Monday that the 2004 South Atlantic Golf Challenge that was to begin on Monday, September 27th, 2004 and conclude on Tuesday, September 28th, 2004 has been postponed due to excessive rain that has fallen in the Greenwood, SC area due to the weather patterns caused by Hurricane Jeanne.

The tournament was to take place at Hunter's Creek Country Club in Greenwood, SC with the Rams to take to the course in team competition against some the Southeast's best Division II college golf teams.

Tournament organizers are finalizing a make-up date for the tournament and have identified several possibilities in late October or early November.
