Rams Close Out Lincoln (Pa.) for 5-0 Win

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (6-2, 5-0 CIAA) remain undefeated in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) play with a 5-0 win over the Lincoln (Pa.) Lions (0-7, 0-7 CIAA), Friday afternoon in Fayetteville, N.C. With the win the Rams improve to 5-0 in CIAA play and extend their winning streak to three games.

The Rams took the win behind some dominant performances in singles play against the short-handed Lions. After taking the #5 spot win by default, the WSSU senior Creighton Jones, freshman Jonathan Aubrey, and freshman Corey Bonnette all posted 6-0, 6-0 singles wins. Sophomore Josh Aubrey sealed the singles domination with 6-2, 6-0 singles win. With the effort, the Rams took the win with 5-0 match points. There was no need for doubles play.
