Rams Take 6-3 Win Over Benedict

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (2-3) rolled to their second win of the weekend when the team took an impressive 6-3 win over the Benedict Tigers (5-4), Sunday afternoon. The Rams took the win behind some great efforts in both singles and doubles play.

The Rams opened the day with a pair of doubles wins. After taking a forfeit victory in the #3 doubles, the Rams earned a split in the other two doubles matches with an 8-0 win at #2 doubles.

In singles play, the Rams sealed the win with four victories. The team took a default win at #6 singles before taking wins at #2, #3, & #4 singles. Junior Jonathan Aubrey took a 6-2, 6-0 win at #2 singles while senior Creighton Jones added a 6-0, 6-4 win at #3 singles while sophomore Corey Bonnette closed out the match with an 8-3 win at #4 singles.
