Coaching Experience: The 2009-10 season marks Williams' fourth as a volunteer assistant coach at WSSU...Had a stellar career as a player at WSSU en route to being named MVP of the men's tennis team twice...Will help first-year Head Coach Charlie Schoderbek lead the Rams.

Playing Experience
2004: Posted a 3-11 record in doubles play in 2004, primarily from the first doubles slot with partner Daniel Gary...Posted a 3-11 record in singles play in 2004 exclusively in the first singles flight...Turned in a 1-2 record from the first doubles flight, with partner Daniel Gary at the 2004 CIAA Tennis Championships en route to a 7th place finish...Posted a 2-1 record in singles play, in the first singles flight at the 2004 CIAA Tennis Championships en route to a 5th place finish...Named WSSU Men's Tennis' Most Valuable Player for 2004.

2003: Named team captain, Williams spent the entire season at the #1 singles spot for the Rams...Turned in a 9-5 record at #1 singles and was the most consistent and dominant player on the Rams' tennis team...Posted a 4-8 doubles record, all at the #1 doubles slot as he partnered with Sherman Riggsbee (4-0), Neal Turner (0-4) and John Hooks (0-4).

Personal: A 1996 graduate of White Oak High School in Jacksonville, NC...Though he is a senior in the classroom, he is only a sophomore on the tennis court...In addition to tennis, he played basketball his senior year in high school as a shooting guard and was a member of the White Oak team that won a conference championship and posted a 26-3 record...A Psychology major at WSSU who is minoring in sociology...The son of Kenny and Julia Williams...His uncle, Keenan McCardell plays football for the NFL's San Diego Chargers...Nicknamed "J-Will"...Born April 20, 1978 in Angeles City, Philippines.
