HIGH POINT, NC - The Winston-Salem State University men's tennis team fell to 0-5 on the season overall on Monday afternoon as the High Point University Panthers earned a 7-0 sweep over the Rams at the HPU Tennis Complex in non-conference men's tennis action.
The Panthers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after securing the match's doubles point by sweeping a trio of doubles contests.
Charles Bottoni and Jim Trussler defeated the Rams' number one doubles pairing of Ian Hunter and Brian Coxton by the score of 8-1; Henri Mangin and Marc Laslaz defeated Ryan Lindquist and Troy Moore 8-2 at second doubles and Julien Antraygues and Ben Deloume defeated Andrew Jones and Daren Milbourne 8-0 at third doubles as HPU swept all three doubles matches.

The Rams would fare no better in the singles contests as the Panthers earned straight set victories in all six singles matchups as the Rams recorded only seven game points on the afternoon.
With the loss the Rams remain winless in 2008 and fall to 0-5 overall while the Panthers improve to 3-2 overall with the win.
