Final Stats

ELON, NC - The Phoenix men's tennis team of Elon University cruised to an easy win on Saturday afternoon in Elon, NC as they held the Rams of Winston-Salem State University to only one game point en route to an easy 7-0 victory in non-conference tennis action.

The singles matches were unkind to the Rams as the Phoenix swept all six singles flight by holding the Rams scoreless.

The lone bright spot on the afternoon was WSSU's second doubles team of Ryan Lindquist and Phi Tran who scored the Rams' lone point of the afternoon as they fell to Elon's Kevin Colin and Kyle Smialek by the score of 8-1.

The loss drops WSSU to 1-3 on the season while Elon improves to 4-1 on the season.

WSSU returns to action on Saturday, February 24, 2007 as they travel to Buies Creek, NC to compete in a double-header versus both Campbell and North Carolina Central.
