Petersburg, VA - The Winston-Salem State University men's tennis team fell to 0-3 in 2004 on Sunday afternoon in Petersburg, VA as they fell in defeat to the Trojans of Virginia State University by the score of 6-1.
The Rams emerged victorious at the number one singles slot as Jayson Williams defeated Phelip Garner by the score of 8-3.
However, the rest of Williams' Rams teammates were not as successful as the Trojans would sweep the remainder of the matches and earn the victory.
The two teams return to action at 3:00 pm when they battle in the second match of the double-header.
