WSSU Men's Tennis Falls To Howard University 7-0 - WINSTON-SALEM STATE OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE

WASHINGTON, DC - The Winston-Salem State University Rams tennis team was swept by Howard University by the score of 7-0 as WSSU fell to 1-11 on the season as the Bison earned a point at every flight, despite the stellar play of Ryan Lindquist at third singles.

Lindquist turned in one of his most impressive performances of the season as he pushed Howard's Anthony Baldwin to a three-set marathon before falling in defeat by the score of 6-4, 3-6, 8-10.

The Rams surrendered the sixth singles point via forfeit and never recovered as the Bison earned victories at every singles position and all three double matches en route to the easy 7-0 victory.

The loss drops the Rams to 1-11 on the season as Howard improves to 6-4 overall. Winston-Salem State returns to action on Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 1:00 pm as they play host to UNC-Asheville at the WSSU Tennis Complex.
