HILTON HEAD, SC - The Winston-Salem State University men's tennis team fell to 1-15 on the season on Thursday evening as they dropped a 6-1 decision to the Robert Morris University Colonials in Hilton Head, SC. The Colonial record their fourth win of the season with the victory.
The Colonials and Rams, playing on a neutral-site court in beautiful Hilton Head, SC split the first two doubles matches of the day as WSSU's Brian Coxton/Maximilain Glodde defeated RMU's Sean Curley/Mateusz Wodzinski 8-4 at first doubles and Robert Morris' Nick Pagnetti/Robert Switzer defeated WSSU's Patrick Jenkins/Ryan Lindquist at second doubles 8-1 as the third doubles flight would ultimately decide the coveted doubles point.
RMU's Cyrus Manouchehrian/David Yokitis defeated WSSU's Daren Milbourne/Ian Hunter 8-0 at third doubles as the Colonials jumped out to the early 1-0 lead.
Building on their 1-0 lead, the Colonials would go on to sweep five of the six singles matches en route to the 6-1 match victory as the only WSSU point came courtesy of Brian Coxton's 6-2, 7-5 straight-set win over Nick Pagnetti at first singles.

The loss drops WSSU to 1-15 on the season while Robert Morris improves to 4-9 overall with the win.
WSSU returns to action on Friday, March 14 at 6:00 p.m. as they face the Bison of Bucknell University.
