Rams Tennis Remains Winless At 0-6 In 2004 After Losing To VUU 4-2

March 15, 2004

Richmond, VA - The Winston-Salem State University men's tennis team remains winless in 2004 as they fell to 0-6 on Sunday afternoon as they dropped the second of a pair of tennis matches to the Panthers of Virginia Union University by the score of 4-2.

The Rams were once again paced by senior Jayson Williams (Sr./Jacksonville, NC) who was involved in earning the Rams both of their points on the afternoon. Williams defeated Tyrone Goodman of VUU 8-1 in the #1 singles match and once again teamed with Daniel Gary (So./Pasadena, CA) to earn a point at the #1 doubles slot as they defeated VUU's Tyrone Goodman and Adriane Smith 8-1.

Despite earning two points, the Rams fell short at the second, third and fourth singles slots and the second doubles slot, ultimately falling in defeat by the score of 4-2.

The Rams return to action on March 18th, 2004 as they look for their first win of the season when they battle CIAA powerhouse Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC.
