WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - UNC Asheville snapped a two-match losing streak as it defeated Winston-Salem State 7-0 Thursday afternoon at the WSSU Tennis Complex as the Rams fell to 1-14 on the season.
The Bulldogs swept the doubles competition to earn the doubles point. The Rams only managed to win a combined total of five games in the three doubles matches.
Asheville dominated the singles competition as it won in all six matches in straight-set fashion.
The win improves the Bulldogs' record to 3-10 on the season. Winston-Salem State falls to 1-14.
The Rams return to action on Saturday at 9:00 am as they face the Phoenix of Elon at the WSSU Tennis Complex.
