Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Rams tennis team won their first match of the season on Saturday afternoon at the WSSU Tennis Complex by defeating the Falcons of St. Augustine's College by the score of 4-3.
The Rams and Falcons battled back and forth all match long in a heated affair that saw the Rams earn their first win of the season by the most narrow of margins.
With the win, WSSU improves to 1-8 overall on the season. Both teams will return to action at 2:00 pm when they square off against one another for the second of two league tennis matches.
