Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Rams tennis team lost their ninth match of the season on Saturday afternoon at the WSSU Tennis Complex when the Falcons of St. Augustine's College avenged a loss from earlier in the afternoon and handed WSSU a 4-3 defeat.
The Rams, who earned their first win of the season earlier in the day, came up just short of winning back to back matches as SAC pulled out the one-point match victory.
With the loss, WSSU falls to 1-9 overall on the season. The Rams will return to action at 12:00 pm tomorrow when they square off against the Eagles of North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC in a pair of league tennis matches.
