Durham, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Men's tennis team fell to 1-10 on the 2004 season on Sunday afternoon in Durham, NC as the Eagles of North Carolina Central University handed the Rams a 9-0 loss in CIAA men's tennis action.
The Rams failed to score a match point in the contest as the Eagles cruised to victory, allowing the Rams to score only 7 game points in the contest. The lone bright spot for the Rams was at first singles where Jayson Williams put up a fight before being dispatched by NCCU's Jermond 8-4. No other Ram would record more than a single point in the remainder of the contest.
The Rams and Eagles will return to action in the second game of a men's tennis doubleheader at 2:00 pm.
