Winston-Salem, NC - The Virginia State University Trojans defeated the Rams tennis team at the WSSU Tennis Complex in the second of a pair of tennis matches on Thursday afternoon in Winston-Salem, NC as WSSU would record only three points in the match before falling 6-3.
Virginia State recorded wins at six of the nine flights in the match as WSSU fell to 2-5 overall in 2005. The Rams won at the fourth and fifth singles flights and again at the second doubles flight en route to three points in a losing effort.
WSSU returns to action again on Friday, April 1st, 2005 in Winston-Salem, NC at 1:00 PM as they play host to Shaw University in a CIAA women's tennis league contest.
