Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University men's tennis team completed a two-match sweep over the visiting Falcons of Saint Augustine's College at the WSSU Tennis Complex on Saturday with a second-match, 5-1 victory as WSSU improved to 7-8 on the season in 2005.
The Falcons would get closer in the second contest as they would score a lone point in the match for the second consecutive outing, yet held the Rams to only five points in the match.
Saint Augustine's lone point would come at the first singles flight as Joey Pennerman defeated Daniel Gary by the score of 8-3.
WSSU posted wins at every other flight as the Rams hung on to defeat the visiting Falcons by the score of 5-1.
The two teams will return to action this week and weekend at the 2005 CIAA tennis championships in Richmond, VA.
